EST-Floattech
EST-Floattech's new Octopus Series battery system is gaining traction due to its versatile design. Available in high-power and high-energy versions, it is a reliable choice for a wide range of applications, from propulsion to peak shaving and hotel load. The Octopus Series was created based on 10 years of experience. Its modular design allows for customization to meet project needs, which makes it very suitable for retrofitting vessels.
Each battery string comes with its own string controller, which transforms the separate modules into a solid energy storage system. It also allows for real-time monitoring and data collection. With redundant sensors and safety mechanisms, users can trust in the system's safety and reliability. Furthermore, the system has been engineered with a ‘safe by design’ approach, utilizing hardware and software to ensure maximum safety.
The Octopus Series will shortly receive DNV, BV and Lloyd’s type approvals, attesting to its quality and reliability. Containerized battery solutions are also available in various sizes with this new module.
