The Electric & Hybrid Marine awards recognize and reward the latest breakthroughs, innovations and developments in the industry. They cover various areas of electrification and decarbonization technologies, with shortlisted entries to be judged by an international panel of journalists and experts from across the marine industry.
The awards will be presented live during Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe, 21-23 June, 2022, and will include the following categories:
Supplier of the Year
The jury will vote for the company they felt has contributed the most to the industry over the last 12 months. Suppliers will be judged not only on product innovation, but also profitability and commercial success, such as identifying and establishing new manufacturing and R&D centers, and winning new business.
Engineering Team of the Year
The jury will vote for the team they feel has made the single largest contribution to advancing electric and hybrid marine propulsion technology over the last 12 months.
Innovation of the Year
The jury will select the pioneering technology or technical innovation that they feel pushes the boundaries and contributes in some way to making electric and hybrid propulsion possible and viable.
Propulsion System Manufacturer of the Year
The jury will be asked to vote for the company they feel has contributed the most to the industry over the last 12 months. Manufacturers will be judged not only on product innovation, but also profitability and commercial success, such as identifying and establishing new manufacturing and R&D centers, and winning new business.
Electric & Hybrid Propulsion System of the Year
The jury will vote for the best complete electric and hybrid propulsion system released within the last 12 months that makes a contribution to cleaner, more efficient marine propulsion. Other criteria include ingenuity and scale of financial investment.
