Before joining 1852 Solutions, Bo held leadership roles within the offshore energy and maritime industries, including within Shell and BG Group, where he led commercial strategy and steered new technology development for the offshore oil and gas, offshore renewables and maritime sectors. He has been supporting offshore energy industry decarbonization and innovation efforts through his work on key marine and renewables subjects and via his active participation in industry bodies/forums including ACP, The Carbon Trust, National Offshore Wind Research and Devevelopment Council, Nautical Institute and Maritime Battery Forum (where he is a board member). Subjects Bo has been engaged in include marine electrification (battery on board, all-electric tugs and ferries, cold-ironing, offshore charging buoys), future fuels (biofuel, methanol, hydrogen), IoT-based vessel performance monitoring and optimization solutions, novel offshore feeder vessel solutions, lower-cost SOV (service operation vessel) solutions, potential installation and in-situ Operations &Maintenance marine solutions for floating wind, offshore heavy-lift, deepwater towing and mooring solutions, alternative marine access systems, lower-emissions/higher-operability CTVs (crew transfer vessels) and remote offshore operations.
