The findings of the recently completed Joint Development Project on Battery Safety will be presented by DNV, including technical answers to tough industry questions on fire suppression, ventilation, and aspects of key risk management, as well as a technical scientific basis for rule development. Representatives of DNV will discuss how this knowledge can be used to support visitors’ projects as well as how the company can facilitate the deployment and adoption of battery technology in the maritime space, including technology selection, feasibility studies, battery life and degradation analysis, as well as risk and hazard assessment.
