Andrew Morden, chief executive officer, Corvus Energy, Canada, discusses the global launch of Orca ESS, the company’s next-generation product line, which features superior performance and economic advantages for end users and includes industry-leading innovations related to safety and operation.



Torqeedo

Dr Christoph Ballin, co-founder and CEO, Torqeedo, Germany, discusses three innovations being showcased on the company’s stand, including a powerful new 48V Cruise out-board motor equivalent to 20hp petrol-driven engine, and a range of new pod motors. He also updates us on the latest developments with the Deep Blue hybrid inboard motor range.

Pieter Dijkstra, managing director, Visedo Marine, Finland, comments on the company’s highly compact drive and motor generator range of electrical power and propulsion systems, which offer high system-level efficiency for marine vessels.

Roel ter Heide, chief executive officer, WhisperPower, Netherlands, comments on the company’s Hygen Genverter variable-speed diesel generator range for custom-designed hybrid power and propulsion systems for superyachts and light commercial vessels, and announces the launch of the Dutch Hybrid Association in partnership with MG Energy Systems and Visedo.



EST-Floattech

Marco de Bos, managing director, EST-Floattech, Netherlands, discusses the company’s range of intelligent Li-ion NMC energy storage systems, being showcased at the expo. Called Green Orca, Green Dolphin and Green Shark, they are all developed for electric and hybrid power propulsion and applications for yachts, commercial vessels and ferries.



IHC Drives & Automation

Pieter Vos, senior specialist, IHC Drives & Automation, Netherlands, presents the company’s innovative medium-voltage IHC MV drive designed exclusively for the marine industry. Based on a modular approach, the compact drive helps save space and weight, optimising the overall design of a vessel and its equipment.



Cavotec

Yann Duclot, chief marketing and strategy officer, Cavotec, Switzerland, discusses the company’s latest products, including an automated mooring system developed in partnership with Wärtsilä, which sees the introduction of a wireless shore charging system based on inductive power transfer, enabling a vessel to be charged within 25 seconds.



MAN Rollo

Karel Schuurman, manager sales marine engines, MAN Rollo, Netherlands, discusses the company, which is a leading innovator in the field of ultra-low-emission propulsion and power supply systems utilising LNG fuel and gas generator sets to power maritime and marine applications.



Rotor/Regal Beloit

Ruben van der Berg, product marketing specialist – propulsion and Eric Hermann, senior account manager/marketing Europe, Regal Rotor Beloit, Netherlands, discuss the company’s Rotor NL industrial electric motors adapted for above- and below-deck marine and offshore applications including main propulsion and bowthruster solutions.



Super B

Tim Tiek, chief executive officer, Super B, Netherlands, comments on the company, which produces advanced lithium-ion batteries for marine, automotive, motorcycle, UPS, recreation and industrial applications and is well known for developing tailored battery solutions for each market.



SAFT

Jayesh Vir, marine key accounts manager, SAFT, France, talks about the company’s advanced lithium-ion battery technology for diesel/converter generators and electric propulsion systems, which offers a number of advantages including high-power energy storage in a compact space-saving weight, and has a long calendar lifecycle and extremely low maintenance requirements.



Eco Marine Power

Greg Atkinson, chief executive officer, Eco Marine Power, Japan, talks about the company, which is leading a number of R&D projects focused on developing cost-effective commercial solutions for utilising wind power and solar energy on vessels such as bulk ore carriers, cargo ships, oil tankers, passenger ferries, USVs and naval frigates.
